Make the Switch!: Easter Message

5 am Easter Sunday morning, 2020.

I feel God's presence in the room heavily and I awake, with that early morning croak of a voice I mutter "Speak Lord for your son listens".

Only one instruction came "Open Isaiah 53", I honestly don't cram chapters just yet so I still get the feeling of opening a gift when I get leadings like this.

I obey.
I use the NLT translation and I saw what I know I've always seen but in a different light, His light. After the study and prayer, Daddy asked that I put this up for others too so here goes.

In a nutshell, the message is this.

Easter is to celebrate what Jesus did for us all by not just being grateful and having a sober reflection but by giving him every burden He already carried on our behalf and replacing them with the blessings from him. His sacrifice was a total substitution but if we don't activate it by faith and confession we can't enjoy its benefits and that makes God sad.

Make the switch!, how?

The same way you got saved, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth  (ROM 10:9-10)

Jesus finds fulfillment in us enjoying what He suffered for. So if you celebrate today but you don't drop your burdens you haven't made Jesus Happy.

I will only expatiate on 7 verses in this chapter but I encourage everyone to read the chapter themselves and see what unconditional love can do and has done for us:

1. He grew up living a hard life, a tender green shoot in dry ground. He lived a hard life so we don't have to, so if you're living a hard life give it to Him and He will replace it with the Life He paid for in full. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, a king in the heavens was given this kind of body. Why? So that we can be beautiful and majestic kings and priests unto God, lights that attract the gentiles to God.
If this is not your reality make the switch!

Isaiah 53:2 NLT
My servant grew up in the LORD's presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him.

2. He was despised and rejected so we can be accepted by God. He was a man of sorrow and deep grief all his life so that we won't ever need to suffer from depression and wallow in sorrow. No one cared for him, but he cares for us and brings people into our lives that will care for us.
Honor his sacrifice, Make the Switch!

Isaiah 53:3 NLT
He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
3. He carried our weaknesses and replaced it with his strength. He carried our sicknesses and diseases so we won't have to suffer them and we enjoy health instead. People thought he suffered for his own sins when he was innocent and paying for ours so that we will enjoy joyful lives that we don't deserve.
Honor his sacrifice, Make the Switch!

Isaiah 53:4 NLT

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!

4. He was pierced for our rebellion and crushed for our sins, beaten so we can be whole and by his stripes, we were healed. All this so that we could be free from judgment so that we can live in absolute health. If health and wellness physically and mentally isn't your experience as a child of God? Honor his sacrifice, Make the switch!

Isaiah 53:5 NLT
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

5. He was silent so that we could have a voice recognized in heaven. So that we have a voice to proclaim his name in all nations. So we can have a voice to defend the rights of the poor and needy and all who are treated unjustly (Prov 31:8-9).

Isaiah 53:7 NLT
He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.
6. He was unjustly condemned so we could live lives of no condemnation before God. He couldn't enjoy the joy of marriage or having children so that we can enjoy it not endure it. His life was cut short in its prime so that we could live long fulfilled lives.
Honor his sacrifice, Make the Switch!
Isaiah 53:8 NLT

Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people.

7. When Jesus sees us enjoying what He paid for he becomes happy and fulfilled. When he sees how many are now called righteous and accepted by God he rejoices. And when He sees us love others unconditionally too, He rejoices.

Honor his sacrifice, Make the Switch!
Isaiah 53:11 NLT

When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

If you haven't accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, that's the biggest switch you need to make today. It doesn't matter how bad you think you are, he paid for it all in full all your sins are paid for. All you need to do is confess him as your Lord and Savior and confess that he died for your sins and rose to crown your victory you will be saved. Make the Switch.

Romans 10:9 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Happy Easter
